HOW TO FILE AN APPLICATION?


An application for registration of an integrated circuit topography is filed with the National Center of Intellectual Property (hereinafter the Center).

An application should contain the following documents:

  • deposited materials:
    • photographs of photomasks;
    • an assembly layout drawing;
    • layer-by-layer layout drawings;
    • photographs of each layer of a topography;
    • samples of an integrated circuit with a given topography if it was used before the date of the application filing;
  • an abstract;
  • a power of attorney if an application is filed through a patent attorney.

To an application there is attached a document attesting payment of the patent fee (a copy of a payment order with a bank note or a bank receipt) or a document attesting the grounds for exemption from its payment or for its payment in a reduced amount.

Fees are transferred to the clearing account of the Center.

A payment document should refer only to one application and contain the registration number of the application or the integrated circuit title as well as the name of a procedure, for which payment has been made.
