The issue of official publications is regulated by the Statute of Official Publications of the National Center of Intellectual Property.

The National Center of Intellectual Property (hereinafter the Center) issues the following official publications:

• the official bulletins of the Center:

«Inventions. Utility Models. Industrial Designs»
«Trademarks and Service Marks. Appellations of Origin»
«Plant Varieties»

• descriptions of inventions, utility models, plant varieties to patents of the Republic of Belarus.

The official bulletins «Inventions. Utility Models. Industrial Designs» and «Trademarks and Service Marks. Appellations of Origin» are published with the periodicity of 6 issues a year. The official bulletin «Plant Varieties» – 2 issues a year. 

Descriptions of inventions, utility models, plant varieties to patents of the Republic of Belarus are published simultaneously with publication of the data about them in corresponding official bulletins.

The official publications of the Center are issued in Russian on a paper carrier. Descriptions of inventions to patents of the Republic of Belarus are also issued on CD-ROMs.

In the official bulletin «Inventions. Utility Models. Industrial Designs» there are published:

• data on applications for inventions which passed preliminary examination as a result of which a positive decision was taken including bibliographic data, the systematic and numerical indexes of applications for inventions;
• data on international applications, which were filed in accordance with the Patent Cooperation Treaty and entered the national phase in the Republic of Belarus, including bibliographic data, the systematic and numerical indexes of international applications;
• data on patents for inventions including bibliographic data, the principal drawing as well as the systematic and numerical indexes of patents for inventions;
• data on patents for utility models including bibliographic data, the principal drawing as well as the systematic and numerical indexes of patents for utility models;
• data on patents for industrial designs including bibliographic data of an industrial design, its representation as well as the systematic and numerical indexes of patents for industrial designs;
• data on the registration of integrated circuit topographies including bibliographic data of an integrated circuit topography and an abstract;
• data on registered license contracts, assignment contracts and contracts in which a right to intellectual property objects of the Republic of Belarus is given as security;
• amendments inserted to the State Registers of Inventions, Utility Models, Industrial Designs, Integrated Circuit Topographies, License Contracts, Assignment Contracts and Contracts of Security as well as corrections for publications in the bulletin.

In the official bulletin «Trademarks and Service Marks. Appellations of Origin» there are published:

• data on trademarks and service marks registered in the State Register of Trademarks and Service Marks of the Republic of Belarus including bibliographic data of a trademark or a service mark, its image, the list of classes with indication of goods and services in respect of which this trademark or service mark has been registered as well as the systematic and numerical indexes of certificates and the numerical index of applications for trademarks and service marks;
• data on appellations of origin registered in the State Register of Appellations of Origin of the Republic of Belarus including bibliographic data, an appellation of origin, a kind of goods and a description of their specific properties;
• amendments inserted to the State Registers of Trademarks, Service Marks, Appellations of Origin, data on registered license contracts, assignment contacts in respect of a trademark or a service mark as well as corrections for publications in the bulletin.

Data on normative and legal acts of the Republic of Belarus in the field of intellectual property protection adopted in the period between issues of the official bulletins «Inventions. Utility Models. Industrial Designs» and «Trademarks. Service Marks. Appellations of Origin» are published in the section «Official Information».

In the official bulletin «Plant Varieties» there are published:

• data on applications for plant varieties, which passed preliminary examination as a result of which a positive decision was taken;
• data on proposed denominations of plant varieties;
• data on withdrawn applications for the grant of plant patents;
• data related to decisions taken in respect of applications for the grant of plant patents;
• data on amendments related to the denomination of an applicant or patent holder;
• data on the pre-term lapse of a plant patent, on the invalidation of a patent;
• data on license and assignment contracts;
• official descriptions of plant varieties to patents;
• the list of plant varieties included to the State Register of Protected Plant Varieties of the Republic of Belarus.

A description of an invention or utility model to a patent of the Republic of Belarus contains:
the front page including bibliographic data, claims and the principal drawing;
the text of an invention or utility model description with elucidative tables and drawings;

An official description of a plant variety to a patent of the Republic of Belarus includes:
the front page including bibliographic data;
the characteristics of a plant variety;
the imprint.

Descriptions of inventions and utility models to patents of the Republic of Belarus on CD-ROMs are additionally directed to RNTB and the All-Russia Patent and Technical Library.
