|WORK IS UNDERWAY ON A DRAFT AGREEMENT WITH THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA|
The first round of negotiations with the People’s Republic of China on a draft Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and its Member-States, on the one hand, and the People's Republic of China, on the other hand (hereinafter – Agreement) took place on October 17 – 19, 2016 in Moscow, which was attended by specialists of the National Center of Intellectual Property (A.Akhramenko and A.Zayats).
The draft agreement is designed to strengthen trade and economic cooperation.
The Parties recognize the importance of protection of intellectual property rights in order to stimulate R&Ds and creative activities that will contribute to economic and social development, as well as the dissemination of knowledge and technologies. In this context, a separate Chapter of the draft Agreement is devoted to Intellectual Property.
